BARMSTRON - Depth 16m A Norwegian steamship of 1451 tons built in 1888. She foundered on rocks whilst carrying a cargo of coal. She lies 20 meters to the south of the James Fennell. The wreck consists of a mass of flattened steel plates, and her keel, propeller shaft and forward end (standing 4m high) are quite readily available. She became stranded beneath the high cliffs of Blacknor Point on the 3rd March 1918. |
